Remember the song? Well follow that rule. Treat others as you want to be treated yourself.
If you do not agree with something on the board and you think that it would break any of the rules that I have set in place, take it up with me and I will settle the dispute myself.
You must make an OCC account to post auditions with before you begin to make character accounts.
You must make one account per character.
Banners and avatars must be of your character.
Banners and avatars must be no bigger 133x400 and 100x100, respectively. If they are bigger then that, then they will be removed without notice.
You may not have two characters with the same element until you have three other characters filling in the other three elements.
Characters are to be light-skinned elves only. If you are exceptional and already have four or more light-skinned elves, then I may allow you to play dark-skinned elves, and this includes the Drow.
Literacy. This is a must for this site. If you have the inability to string several sentences together to create an informed post, then it is likely that you do not belong here. Proper grammar and punctuation are an essential requirement of role-playing, and it is assumed that you learned this in school. So please put it into practise here.
Posts must be a minimum of two paragraphs (at least five sentences per paragraph. This isn't too hard; don't whine). You must try to match your partner’s posts. If someone gives you a six-paragraph reply, at least get close to that. It is extremely frustrating to be given only a few lines to reply to.
In addition, GIVE YOUR PARTNER SOMETHING TO REPLY TO. I cannot emphasize this enough. If you're having trouble replying to someone, this would be a good reason why. Add in interaction, because if your post consists of your character doing stuff that doesn't remotely involve the other character, it's really hard to reply with more than two sentences. I could write five paragraphs on just my character's thoughts, but there are no words, there is no interaction. Sometimes you can post a would-be reaction if your character knew what they were thinking, but if the gist of your post is just "so-and-so continued what they were doing", please, please don't post it.
No power playing or god-moding. Taking control of another’s character is strictly forbidden unless you have express permission of fellow role players themselves.
Do NoT tYpE lIkE tHiS. It'S aNnOyInG aS cRaP!1!1 On that note, TYPING IN ALL CAPS is indeed shouting. Sometimes, it adds emphasis. But, please turn off caps lock on this board. Thank you. ^^
Romance. This is allowed on the site, but if anything gets a little too ‘hot and heavy’ then please put a warning (usually {18+} or {NC-17}) in the title of your role-play. This will stop complaints. We allow both homosexual and heterosexual relationships on this site.
Violence. This is allowed as well, but if anything gets too gory, then please put a warning (usually {18+} or {NC-17}) in the title of your role-play.
Mary-Sues and Gary-Stus are not allowed.
Do not try to change the main plot from what it is. If you have an idea for a side plot, then post it on the Plot board, and we can vote on it to decide whether or not it will go ahead.
The youngest age for any character to be on this site is 16 years of age.
No one is a master of their powers when they are growing up. The youngest age of anyone who has fully mastered their powers is 100.
