Salamander: Expensive, but incredibly useful. The Salamanders of the fire element are naturally found living around or in active volcanoes, and even then are hard to find. Hence the reason why only rich nobles make use of them. However, they're terribly good messengers, as they have the uncanny ability to jump in a fire and appear large distances away. How they do this is known only amongst a couple in the Special Division, who, predictably, use this to spy on their enemies.
Wyvern: The Wyvern is even rarer than the salamander. Smaller than the Great Eagle, the Wyvern could take down four or five at one time, if for no other reason than these winged lizards can breathe fire. They are utilised by the Special Division, but only higher ranks. They only breed once a year and lay one egg, however, so they are extremely rare, and the death of a Wyvern is always a devastating loss to Chath.
